2026 Boone County Fair Heritage Scholarship
Overview
The Boone County Fair will award two (2) $1,000 scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors who have actively participated in the Boone County Fair through 4-H or FFA, exhibiting in livestock and/or youth arts. These scholarships recognize youth who demonstrate dedication, leadership, character, community involvement, and commitment to the traditions of the Boone County Fair. Judges for the scholarship will be chosen from independent members in our community – no fair board member, relative of applicant, or relation to clubs or chapters will serve on the judging panel.
Eligibility Requirements
· Must be a 2026 graduating high school senior
· Must be a resident of Boone County and graduating from a Boone County High School
· Must be a current 4-H or FFA member in good standing
· Must have exhibited in the 2025 Boone County Fair in livestock and/or youth arts
· Must plan to enroll in a college, trade school, or technical program
· Must submit completed application by May 1, 2026
Selection Criteria
· Participation and dedication to the Boone County Fair
· Leadership, character, and sportsmanship in 4-H/FFA
· Community involvement and service
· Commitment to personal growth and future goals
The winners will be announced at the Boone County Fair Livestock Auction, Friday July 24, 2026. Winners should be present to accept the scholarship.
